Cynnal Cymru-Sustain Wales is a networking organisation that enables its members to learn from each other and discover interesting good practice projects in Wales. They work with people and organisations across a broad range of issues – from climate change to economy and fair-trade to health. They increase understanding of sustainability issues and good practice examples, and raise awareness of practical resources encouraging sustainable living in Wales.
Department for International Development, UK Government
The Department for International Development was set up in 1997 with the aim of figthing world poverty, thereby widening Britain’s aid programme beyond its traditional economic development involvement. DfID’s main objective is to make global development a national priority and communicate it to audiences both in the UK and overseas. DfID is also involved with creating new ‘aid relationships’ with governments of developing countries.
Trade Union Congress (TUC)
The TUC represents over six and a half million workers in 66 unions. They campaign for a fair deal at work and for social justice at home and abroad.
United Nations Association (UNA), UK
The United Nations Association of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UNA-UK) is the UK’s leading independent policy authority on the UN. Being independent of the UN system and receiving no funding from it, UNA-UK can be critical of its decisions and activities and can call for reform so that the UN is better equipped to fulfil its fundamental functions.
