Global Goals Working Group
In 2017, the UN Global Compact Network UK launched a Sustainable Development Goals Working Group, later re-named the Global Goals Working Group, to bring participating UK Network members together to discuss with experts and peers the challenges they are facing in effectively engaging on the Goals and to share good practices and identify concrete actions that companies, both individually and as a group, can take to make progress on the Goals.
The meetings are intended to be highly interactive and provide participants with access to leading experts in this field. The group will hear presentations from different stakeholders including but not limited to, government officials, NGOs and businesses working on advancing the Global Goals.
Previous topics that have been explored include:
- The business case for the Goals;
- Defining priorities;
- SDG investing;
- Impact assessment;
- Practical guidance for reporting on the Goals;
- UK Government's implementation of the SDGs;
- The impact of COVID-19.
The Working Group convenes quarterly and at present there are a small number of places left on the group. If you would like to find out more and/or register your interest in joining the group, please contact Global Goals Project Manager, Erin Sharpe.
