Peer Review Programme

Businesses have increasing reporting requirements relating to social sustainability in their operations and supply chains. On a national level, companies are encouraged if not required to report on modern slavery in their supply chains since 2015 and the gender pay gap within their workforce since 2010. These reporting requirements will serve companies when fulfilling emerging EU legislation such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.

The UN Global Compact Network UK is launching a Modern Slavery Act Statement Peer Review and Gender Pay Gap Reporting Peer Review for companies to support each other in improving their reporting and in making disclosures.

Our Peer Review Programmes will enable companies to:

  • Share best practice;
  • Improve their risk management by identifying gaps or weaknesses in their current approaches;
  • Improve compliance with applicable pieces of legislation;
  • Glean insights into challenges, barriers and possible solutions from industries outside of their own;
  • Enhance transparency and accountability;
  • Expand their network with other professionals in their field;
  • Improve reporting and communications, enhancing reputation and brand value.

 UK Network members will have access to a safe space where they can share their reports and get feedback from peers with experience producing these reports. This forum will encourage the exchange of best practices and improve the quality of disclosures. Participants will be in groups of four and provided with forms to help guide their feedback. The UN Global Compact Network UK will organise and facilitate these sessions to ensure the discussions are productive and insightful.
