Ring the Bell for Gender Equality
10 March 2020
Ring the Bell for Gender Equality - 2019
UK Network members are invited to attend the 6th edition of Ring the Bell for Gender Equality, taking place at the London Stock Exchange on the afternoon of 10th March, to mark International Women's Day 2020.
The UN Global Compact, UN Women, Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative, International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Federation of Exchanges and Women in ETFs (the “Global Partners”) are working together again this year, following a very successful collaboration in 2019 where 85 exchanges rang the bell for gender equality – 20 more than in 2018! This global initiative aims to bring attention to the pivotal role the private sector can play in advancing gender equality to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to raise awareness about the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs).
This year’s ceremony will begin with a Market Closing bell and will be followed by a panel discussion. More information will be posted here soon.
This event is open to all UK Network members and free of charge, but places are limited. To express your interest in attending, please contact Caterina Agnoletti.
