Participation in the Climate & Human Rights Working Group provides companies with a forum to expand their understanding of climate and human rights impacts and due diligence practices throughout the value chain.

The transition to a low-carbon economy offers an opportunity to recognise that economic, social, and environmental sustainability are interrelated and of equal importance – a just transition allows organisations to act on climate and the SDGs – in particular SDG 8, on Decent Work and Economic Growth - because climate change poses an existential threat to both people and planet. The impact of rising average global temperatures endangers fundamental human rights.
