Gender Pay Gap Report Peer Review Programme
The Gender Pay Gap Report Peer Review Programme is designed to provide a forum where Network participants can support each other in improving their reporting and sharing best practice to enhance the quality of their gender pay gap report and ultimately, improve gender equality in their organisation.
Businesses have increasing reporting requirements relating to social sustainability in their operations and supply chains. On a national level, companies are encouraged if not required, to report the gender pay gap within their workforce since 2010. These reporting requirements will serve companies when fulfilling emerging EU legislation such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.
The programme will provide UK Network members with a safe space to share their reports and get feedback from peers with experience producing these reports. This forum will encourage the exchange of best practices and improve the quality of disclosures.
Participants will be in small groups and provided with forms to help guide their feedback. The UN Global Compact Network UK will organise and facilitate the session to ensure the discussions are productive and insightful.
The peer review programme will enable companies to:
- Share best practice – learn from others who’ve done it before
- Enhance reputation – can strengthen their brand through better reporting.
- Manage risk – spot and close gaps in their current approach
- Boost compliance – stay aligned with key UK legislation
- Cross-industry insights – gain ideas from outside their own sector
- Transparency & accountability – helps build trust into their processes
- Expand their network – opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals
