Diversity & Inclusion Working Group
2020 Annual Report

In line with its mission to address global issues through practical local action, the UN Global Compact Network UK (UK Network) set up a Diversity & Inclusion Working Group (D&I WG) in 2018. The WG aims to discuss some of the challenges companies are facing integrating D&I into their strategies and operations, and to explore how D&I can be a source of competitive advantage.
In 2020, the D&I Working Group held four virtual meetings. Each meeting focussed on a different theme cutting across different protected characteristics:
• Equalities data collection and analysis;
• Employee resource groups (ERGs);
• Inclusive leadership; and
• Social mobility.
This report aims to summarise the key learnings from each of these meetings.
