Gender-Responsive Procurement
Wednesday, 4 December, 02:00 pm - 03:00 pm GMT
Gender-responsive procurement (GRP)* refers to business purchasing practices from businesses that have integrated gender equality in their policies and practices, or procuring from women-owned or -led businesses. It not only supports wider gender equality, but widens the suppliers available to a business reinforcing their supply chains, strengthening brand reputation, increasing consumer base, and driving financial performance.
This session will help businesses understand what steps they can take to expand relationships with women-owned businesses in their supply chain. It will present best practice examples and case studies where a company has influenced its suppliers to improve gender equality.
*We acknowledge that gender extends beyond the man/woman binary and includes non-binary people, and other marginalised genders. For this Q&A, we will focus on cases specific to women but with lessons that can be extrapolated to other marginalised gender identities.
