Establishing a Thames Basin Collaborative: Business Roundtable
Monday 22 June, 09:00-10:30 BST
This session hosted by the Water Resilience Coalition, in collaboration with the UN Global Compact Network UK and the World Economic Forum’s Water Future Initiative, will convene a small group of senior leaders across business, government, and civil society to inform the design and launch of a Thames River Basin Collaborative – a business-led platform hosted under the Water Resilience Coalition to manage water risk at scale. Discussions will focus on identifying where water risks are impacting businesses and novel actions that can be taken to collectively address risks identified, focusing on those emerging in the Thames Basin.

Ambition to Action: How the SBTi’s new Corporate Net-Zero Standard V2 represents a step-change for corporate resilience

This event will explore how the next evolution of the SBTi Corporate Net-Zero Standard will help accelerate meaningful action and strengthen corporate resilience in a rapidly evolving context for corporate climate action. The SBTi’s CEO David Kennedy will deliver a keynote address on the Corporate Net-Zero Standard V2, with the SBTi’s founding partners (UN Global Compact, WWF, and WRI) also playing a key role in session.

The Business Case for Internal Carbon Pricing: Side Event at Reset Connect

In collaboration with the Sustainable Procurement Pledge’s Carbon Pricing Pilot Group, this event will highlight the growing importance of internal carbon pricing (ICP) as a tool for embedding climate considerations into business decisions. This interactive session will feature presentations, workshop activities, and an expert panel discussion designed to empower participants to take direct action. Attendees will gain practical insights, strengthen the business case for ICP, and collaborate with peers, ideally alongside procurement colleagues, to accelerate emissions reductions in their supply chains.

Sustainable Procurement: The Missing Link in Climate Action

This high-level event will bring together CPOs, CFOs, CEOs, government coalition members, chambers of commerce, sustainability experts, and industry leaders to advance climate action through sustainable procurement and resilient supply chains. Building on the leadership of the UN Global Compact’s Coalition for Sustainable Procurement, the session will soft launch the Sustainable Procurement Implementation Framework ahead of its global launch during UNGA 81 High-Level Week, showcasing how collective action can help companies translate climate commitments into operational and commercial decisions across global value chains.

Climate and the Future of Health at The Conduit

Returning to The Conduit, Climate and the Future of Health convenes leaders from health systems, policy, finance, research, and industry to examine how systems can be redesigned for resilience, prevention, and long-term sustainability. The event will feature keynotes, panel discussions, and interactive sessions, alongside opportunities for cross-sector collaboration and partnership-building. Scaling Business Action and Investment on Water Resilience

Hosted by WaterAid and the CEO Water Mandate, this session will convene corporate practitioners, government, and civil society to explore how to align corporate water stewardship commitments and investments with national water security objectives, and ensure that these address water challenges experienced at the community level. The session will showcase practical examples of how integrated approaches that combine water stewardship with investments in water, sanitation, and hygiene can deliver both environmental and social value.
